Shooting on film has become such an oddity these days that when it happens, it’s a bit of an event. Remo Fioroni of Fine Arts Erotica is one of those oddballs that shoots almost exclusively on film, and I love the challenge. Suddenly I’m no longer posing for 300 or 600 shots in a sitting, but a tenth of that number, and they need to all be good.

Besides, Remo has a sense of humor that I work well with- witness me in the mermaid outfit with a series of water heaters, or me in the silver shorts perched atop a fuzzy old TV set like a pair of rabbit ears.

Towards the end of the shoot, we tried shooting with an old Polaroid Land Camera. However, the film was old and all stuck together, and came out of the camera in chemical-smelling chunks that bore little resemblance to anything at all. So we abandoned the Polaroid and shot with a second camera, leaving the spent and satisfied Polaroid in the shot. Turn your Flickr Safe search off to see what ended up being my favorite shot of the day. Why do you have that thing on, anyhow?

I was wondering when I’d get to see you in the mermaid outfit. Great idea.

Thanks for the advise about turning the “flickr safe” option off. I never would have known and missed out on the best photo of the set.
